Pumpkin Martini

Hosting a frightfully fun Fall or Halloween party this year?  Since pumpkin has long been a favorite for fall, why not serve a pumpkin adult beverage?

I served this at our annual Fall Party and it was a hit. This could also be served to guests before Thanksgiving dinner.

This Pumpkin Martini is ideal for autumn, but is delicious any time. It blends the flavors of vanilla with pumpkin and spices, and has a maple and graham cracker rim to push this drink into taste perfection.
Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin beer...... the recipes are endless.  And now that it's finally pumpkin season here's a pumpkin drink recipe, yea!
Another reason to celebrate Autumn!

Pumpkin Martini
(Makes 1 drink)

2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
2 ounces of half and half
½ ounce vanilla flavored vodka
½ ounce spiced rum
½ ounce butterscotch flavored schnapps
¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Ice (optional)
Maple syrup
Cinnamon flavored graham cracker crumbs

Pour a little maple syrup onto a small plate and place the graham cracker crumbs onto another plate.
Dip the rim of a martini glass in the maple syrup, and then dip into the graham cracker crumbs to coat.  Set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
Add pumpkin puree, half and half, vanilla vodka, spiced rum, butterscotch schnapps and pumpkin pie spice.
Shake vigorously for 5 to 10 seconds.
Strain drink into prepared martini glass.

Serve immediately.

I also sometimes make a little Apple Pie Moonshine to share during autumn months and a
Cherry Brandy for Christmas Holiday gatherings.  Do you have a special drink or recipe you make for the holidays?

I got this website link from my pal who told me about this great fall party drink and now I'm browsing through the rest of your web page. Very informative content. Question: can I use different flavors or kinds of vodka?

Good question. Any brand of rum and vodka can be used. There are different flavors of vodka like whip cream and pumpkin, all of which can be used. Each one will create it's own flavor drink. Let me know how they work out!
